Rip Van Wafels Illustrations
Summary
I had the incredible opportunity to work with Rip Van Wafels, a start-up that is devoted to making healthier, cleaner snacks for people on the go. They developed a line of delicious stroopwafels that are clean, simple, and made from the highest quality ingredients. They are a youthful and playful company with a fun and quirky aesthetic. I worked with them to create illustrations for promotional materials as well as graphics for their website and packaging. The “character illustrations for promotional post cards” were designed to represent each member of the Rip Van Wafel team.

Reflections
I started on this project after the original stroopwafel character illustrations had been designed. It was a challenge to make sure my illustrations matched the original illustration style of the stroopwafel. This was important so that the brand would stay cohesive and the stroopwafel would remain recognizable as the Rip Van Wafel mascot.
I was successfully able to replicate the original illustration style. My illustrations went over very well with the brand managers and owners. They were added to the website and printed on promotional postcards.
