Root & Ginger

Summary
I'm very excited to showcase the branding and webpage layout I did for Root & Ginger, a specialty cold pressed juice company. I was asked to design the layout of their website landing page as well as their overall brand aesthetic including color palette, typography, and illustrations. They have an earthy and homemade aesthetic that make you think "farmers market" and getting back to nature and they also have a cheery and vivacious vibe. I brought in hand painted elements and bright and healthy looking photos to bring their aesthetic to life.

Reflections

• Watercolor is a beautiful illustration technique that was important for this brand’s identity. However, it can be very time consuming to get this style ready for digital platforms because it requires a lot of cleanup after being scanned and put into a computer software. It can also be challenging to scale watercolor images without loosing resolution. Therefore it was important to know what size the images needed to be before painting them and allow enough time to prep them for a digital format.
